Offaly SFC Final

Tullamore 0-19 Ferbane 1-12

Tullamore finished with a flourish at Glenisk O’Connor Park.

Trailing by 1-12 to 0-12 in the 56th minute, Tullamore appeared to be in significant bother, but the holders responded impressively.

Darragh Flynn’s goal ensured Ferbane led by three in the closing stages.

Harry Plunkett was a key figure late on for Tullamore. Under pressure Plunkett nailed a free and subsequently added a two point free to level matters.

Tullamore delivered when it counted as Plunkett subsequently added a two pointer from play. Deep into stoppage time Plunkett rifled over another two point free to seal the deal.

Ferbane led 0-8 to 0-5 at the interval and it was similarly hard fought after the restart.

A 1-2 without reply burst from Ferbane nudged them in front with four minutes remaining, but Plunkett responded in style for Tullamore.
