Mark McHugh has been appointed the new Westmeath senior football manager.

The Kilcar clubman was part of Dermot McCabe’s coaching set-up in 2024.

McCabe will be in charge of his native Cavan for the 2025 inter-county campaign.

McHugh, who won an All-Ireland SFC medal as a player with Donegal in 2012, includes Emmett McDonnell, Jamie Gonoud, Ryan Daly, Stephen Beattie, and Tom Gribbin in his backroom team.
