Jack Carney, Darragh Beirne, and Ryan O’Donoghue are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

Jack Carney (Mayo)

On an unforgettable day for Mayo, Kilmeena’s Jack Carney delivered in style. Carney rifled over a couple of two pointers, including an inspirational and crucial effort after Kerry had accumulated a seven point lead early on.

Darragh Beirne (Mayo)

Part of an exciting crop of new talent, Darragh Beirne starred in the All-Ireland SFC Final win. The Claremorris attacker struck a vital second half goal and finished with 1-3 as Andy Moran’s charges prevailed.

Ryan O’Donoghue (Mayo)

Defiant and dynamic, Ryan O’Donoghue finished with five points, including a pair of long range two pointers. Belmullet clubman O’Donoghue also made an important burst to create Mayo’s third quarter goal.
