Dermot McCabe has been appointed as the new Cavan senior football team manager on a three-year term.

McCabe, who played for Cavan between 1995 and 2009, managed Westmeath in 2025.

In 2020, McCabe was involved in Mickey Graham’s management team when Cavan won the Ulster SFC.

During his playing career, McCabe was a key figure in Cavan’s provincial triumph in 1997.
